The authority of the South African automotive components industry
Naacam Office
Back To The Association

NAACAM this year celebrates 36 years serving the interests of the South African automotive component manufacturers.  During this time it has grown progressively, both in size and in stature, and is now recognised by government as a key association in the manufacturing industry.

The office bearers, past and present, are industry leaders in their own right, and the significant time and effort they spend to assist NAACAM and its members is a tribute to their commitment to the success of the sector, and is much appreciated by us in the NAACAM Office.

NAACAM established a number of key Working Groups and Task teams in 2015 and these are led by Executive Committee members who devote much time to these. Without their efforts we would not be able to properly look after our members’ best interests, so they are much appreciated.

Although our office is small, we are fortunate to have advice from experts in the fields of trade, industrial relations and broad-based black economic empowerment to assist members with the necessary guidance in these specialised fields.  In addition, we have our associate members who are professional and service companies who network with our manufacturing members.

During 2015 Robert Houdet, the NAACAM Executive Director, was forced to retire because of ill-health. Since I had only retired from NAACAM in 2013, I agreed to step in on a part-time basis for up to a year. Fortunately, the office is kept running very well by Helena and Bev who have been busier than ever looking after our members, while Lynn Galbraith provides much support from her coastal office - this fine directory is her work, along with the regular newsletters and the revamped NAACAM website. Thank you ladies!

To our members and to all of you reading this, NAACAM looks forward to being of service to you this year and for many to come.
